Roamy
every step climbs

Your steps climb a mountain

Every step you take moves your hiker up one giant pixel-art mountain, alongside your friends and walkers around the world. Walk to work, walk the dog, walk to the shop. Then open Roamy and watch yourself climb.

See it move

Watch your steps become a climb

Every walk plays out on the trail. Here's a few seconds in the Woodland at golden hour.

How it works

A climb a day

  1. Walk as normal

Roamy reads your steps from Apple Health or Health Connect. No extra gadgets, nothing to log.

  2. Tap Walk

Your day's steps wait on the Walk button. Tap it and your hiker climbs. Steps you don't use fade at midnight, so check in every day.

  3. Summit by Sunday

The mountain resets every Monday and everyone starts again at the bottom. Reaching the top takes a proper week of walking. Your medals and passport stamps are yours to keep.

Your journal

Every walk, written down

Your stats, your medals and your outfits, kept in a journal you'll want to flick through.

  • The Steps page: today's total in a ring, miles, calories and active minutes, a chart through the day and the week's history.

    Steps

Today's total, distance and your whole week at a glance.

  • The Treks and medals page: distance walked, medal categories and progress towards the Inca Trail.

    Treks & medals

Nearly 150 medals, from your first mile to walking the Inca Trail.

  • The Outfits page: a classic hiker, dungarees, a puffer jacket and outfits earned on famous treks.

    Outfits

New kit to try on, plus outfits you earn by walking famous treks.

With friends

Who climbed highest this week?

Add your friends and see each other on the trail.

  • See everyone's steps and where they are on the mountain
  • Rope up with friends and send high-fives
  • Climb the global leaderboard each week
  • Take rest days without losing your streak
The Friends page: each friend's biome, steps today, rank and streak, with Rope up and High-five buttons.
Day and night

The mountain keeps your time

The sky follows your local clock, so an evening walk ends under the stars. Try the same spot in the Tarnlands at different times of day.

Each stretch of the climb has its own landscape, wildlife and base camps.
